Final table action

Final table of event 17

It didn’t take long to Brandon “Omni27” Ienn to perform pocket treys slam dab in the nine of “Beratna” fall to eighth place, then Joseph “ShoeGoat” Walters called him to the gate in seventh loser ace-five all in preflop against ace-jack of Chance “BingShui” Kornuth.

Troy “troyrlee” Lee lost his short stack with king nine to Lapka’s ace seven to fall sixth and moments later, winner of the WSOP.com bracelet Jason “TheBigGift” Gooch hit the rail after performing a pair of sevens in Kornuth’s two black nines.

Although he knocked out a few players early at the final table, Kornuth saw his run for a third career bracelet end in fourth place. He lost most of his chips in a race with a pair of fives against the ace-king of Uke “ooopsmybad” Dauti, who shot a straight line on Broadway.

“Beratna” then lost a big ace-king flip to Lapka’s pair of eights, allowing Lapka to take a more than 2: 1 lead in head-to-head play against Dauti. Lapka began to whittle away at his opponent until a cooler hand saw Dauti come in with the full flush to see Lapka roll to a full house.
