Keep March 25th to April 1st clear in your calendar because that’s when you have to be there Royal Dublin Society in Ballsbridge, Dublin, the venue PokerStars And Paddy Power Poker-sponsored Irish Open 2024.
25th March The first three events of the busy program will take place. The Irish Open 2024 begins with a €350 buy-in for six-handed No-Limit Hold’em Affair, but it’s a brand new tournament that will be reshuffled and dealt a few hours later, catching the attention of value seekers.
The Mini Irish Open is a new addition to this year’s program. It’s bragging a guarantee of €500,000 despite only cost €200 entrance fee. There are nine launch flights throughout the festival, each with unlimited re-entries. The last day is scheduled for April 1st.
€1 million guaranteed Irish Open Main Event
The €1,150 buy-in for the Irish Open Main Event starts on 27th of March with the first of four Day 1s. Each Main Event player sits down armed with 30,000 chips and plays with a time span of 45 minutes, with blinds starting at just 100/100. A single re-entry per flight is permitted, and the organizers promise at least one payout €1 million to the players who land on the money spot.
The 1 million euro guarantee will probably have gotten out of hand. Not only are there over 50 live satellite seats waiting to be won, but PokerStars and Paddy Power Poker also host satellites for online poker grinders. Last year, Over 600 players have won their seats onlinewhich helped create a massive 2,491-strong field and a prize pool of €2,428,725. Expect some Irish Open-specific promotions to run online this fall and in the lead-up to the 2024 Irish Open festival.

Irish Open Main Event Champions since 2010

Dozens of well-known names have picked up the Irish Open Main Event trophy and top prize over the years. Colette Doherty won the first Irish Open Main Event in 1980 and is one of only four players to have won the tournament twice. Noel Furlong, Narcoticsand the late one Liam Flood are the other two two-time winners of the Irish Open Main Event.
Other champions are Joe Beevers, Neil Channing, Ian SimpsonAnd Griffin Benger. Pablo Silva And Pavel Veksler won the two Irish Open main events, which took place online.
Steve O’Dwyer beat 2,039 opponents in 2022 and received €318,700 of the €1,989,000 prize pool. O’Dwyer, an American superstar who has chosen Dublin, Ireland, as his home, defeated the popular Scot Kyle Maguire Heads up.
Scotland David Doherty is the reigning champion, beating a field of 2,491 in 2023, a fantastic result that earned Doherty a career-best €365,000.
