The World Series of Poker (WSOP) just wrapped up its WSOP Paradise stop in the Bahamas yesterday, but they’re already turning their attention back to Las Vegas with scheduling announcements for that WSOP 2024!
WSOP 2024 dates
The The 55th annual WSOP will take place from May 28 to July 17, 2024and although the tournament schedule won’t be released until sometime in the new year, officials have confirmed it The 2024 WSOP $10,000 Main Event will take place from July 3rd to 17th.
Following the success of this year’s event, which also saw record numbers in the main event, the series returns to its home on the Las Vegas Strip Paris Las Vegas And horseshoe.
“There’s not much more that can be said about what a special year 2023 has been for the WSOP and the game of poker,” he said Ty Stewart, SVP and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “But it’s time to turn the page and start the countdown to 2024. Records are there to be broken. We’re diligently working on improvements to ensure 2024 is the biggest and best event in poker history. Mark your calendars and schedule vacation days. When will the WSOP Main Event 2024 take place?
The Main Event is, as always, the main event on the 2024 WSOP schedule and this year begins on Wednesday, July 3rd and runs for two weeks until Wednesday, July 17th.
The tournament has had a record-breaking year Daniel Weinman beat 10,043 players to win the Main Event for $12.1 million. It was the largest Main Event in the WSOP’s 54-year history and topped the field of 8,663 players Jamie Gold was defeated in 2006, winning a $12 million first place prize.
Did you know? The 2023 Main Event was the largest in history with 10,043 players – up from 8,663 players in 2022 – and brought in over $93 million in prize money.
Maintaining the traditional $10,000 buy-in, players will have a choice of four starting days from the schedule, expected to be as follows: Day 1a-d July 3-6, with post-registration also open on Day 2abc (Sunday, July 7, 2024) remains open) and day 2d (Monday, July 8, 2024).

When will the 2024 WSOP schedule be announced?
The full 2024 WSOP schedule will be released in early January. Most years the schedule appears in early February.
