888poker will be a sponsor of the upcoming Professional Fighters League (PFL) Europe Championship taking place on December 8th in Dublin, Ireland. During matches, the online poker platform’s branding will appear around the cage.
The PFL will also present various forms of 888poker-related promotional material through its media channels before and during the event. 888poker intends to work with fighters to create interesting content for both MMA and poker fans.
Only behind the UFC when it comes to global MMA fights
The PFL has rapidly expanded its presence in combat sports, trailing only the UFC in global MMA fights. Its SmartCage technology gives fans access to enhanced viewing experiences and enables instant, real-time betting. The PFL’s structure is similar to traditional sports, following a league format followed by playoffs and ending with a championship tournament.
Speaking about the new partnership with 888poker, James Frewin, Senior Vice President of International at PFL, noted the “strong synergies between the poker community and the mixed martial arts world.”
