Over 90 personnel from the Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue attended to the incident on Saturday afternoon. People from across the valley were able to see black smoke billowing from the property’s roof, with video footage appearing on Twitter:

Fontainebleau released a statement about the incident and confirmed it will be investigating the cause of the blaze.

Development of the 67-story property began back in 2007 but came to a halt a couple of years later due to the recession. Work resumed in 2021 with the aim to finally open its doors in December this year.

The extent of the damage resulting from the fire over the weekend is unclear and whether it will have any impact on the expected opening.
