The tournament attracted a field of 206 runners including a slew of “celebrity” bounties who competed for a $32,960 prize pool. Participants could knock out a bounty and draw a mystery envelope with prizes from $50 gift certificates up to $2,000 cash!

It’s not the first time Boston Rob has ventured into the poker world. On the contrary, he’s been a familiar face for a while. Last year, he participated in the RGPS All-Stars ProAM in Las Vegas, and in 2015 he bubbled the Run It Up (RIU) Reno Main Event final table. A year later, he actually won the second event at RIU Reno.

Main Event Features Three Starting Flights

The $250,000 guaranteed RGPS Main Event will consist of three starting flights, the first of which will get underway on Sept. 29. After Day 1b on Sept. 30 and Day 1c on Oct. 1, Day 2 will take place on Oct. 2. and play down to a winner, who will get the bulk of the guaranteed prize pool and take home the RGPS trophy.

In exchange for their $800 buy-in, players will get a starting stack of 30,000 chips with blind levels starting at 100/200/200.

For players who don’t want to stake up the $800 entry fee, there will be a number of satellite opportunities at the RGPS stop, including $105 Main Event Super Satellites where one in ten players win a seat into the Main Event, as well as $185 mega satellites where one in five players wins a seat.
